Damien is Flöckchen's son, one of the four kittens that she had in 2006. When he was neutered, we heard a heart murmur, and an ultrasound examination revealed that he has aortic stenosis and mitral valve regurgitation. He has no symptoms (yet), but he will have to be on medication for the rest of his life. Thankfully, is is an extremely laid back and friendly cat, and he'll lick the pill right off your finger if you put it on some malt paste.
He is not as needy as the other cats, but occasionally he will squeak at you and beckon you to follow him somewhere. Only occasionally do we understand what he wants, and he probably thinks we're dumb. His purring is at least as loud as his mother's. His name was coined by my best friend because he has two dots on his forehead.
